Laura Comtois
My name is Laura Comtois, I’m a recent graduate of the Business Marketing program at Algonquin College and am now in the Event Management program. I am truly loving what we’re doing so far and am very much looking forward to planning our fundraising event. I am very creative and love that I can use those skills in this field. Making others happy is a wonderful feeling and I can’t wait to do that for the rest of my event career.
Pulan Wang
Hello my name is Pulan. I come from China and have been working as a communications professional for 4 years in a shipbuilding company, where my duties were to liaise with customers, partners and staff, plan internal & external events and report interesting stories. During that time, I helped organize and attended many events including a business Partner cocktail reception (2013, China); a Presidential visit to the Sinopacific Shipyard (2014, China); and our exhibition at the well-known industry show Nor-Shipping (2015, Norway).
Alicia Hall
My name is Alicia Hall. I live in Ottawa and I am a full time student at Algonquin College. I’m a professional photographer and do mainly wedding and portrait photography. I really enjoy photographing weddings and events so I decided to go into event planning to combine the two professions.

Hello my name is Naomi. I have been planning parties and small events for many years. Over the past four years I have worked in the event industry in management positions, planning & organizing events for bars, clubs, & restaurants. My experience has led me to Algonquin College’s Event Management Post Grad Certificate where I plan on gaining more experience and knowledge in the field, to help me someday open my own venue for big events!

Hello my name is Brittany. I have just moved to Ottawa, I am originally from Peterborough, Ontario. I have discovered my passion for planning events after planning my first wedding in Mexico. I have been running volunteers for three years now at many different events and have management experience.
